I know we said we weren't setting a date yet. But, things change.
We've decided to get married in Ogunquit, Maine on June 23, 2007. I have a co-worker who got married there, and she had brought in her pictures to show in the office a couple of months ago. It just looked perfect- simple, small, beside the ocean in a beautiful location along the Marginal Way, a place we'd been to several times last summer and loved.
So I emailed the Ogunquit Town Clerk about a week ago and asked how the process worked. And we discussed it. Eric has family vacationing in the area at the same time. We're going ahead with it.
It'll be a civil ceremony; family only, very simple. It's not going to be A Wedding- we're just going to get married. And go for lunch afterwards.
So to the family: wear comfortable shoes. You'll need to walk a little to get to the right spot, but we'll try to keep it close to Perkins Cove. And if it rains- wear your slicker and bring an umbrella. There is no Plan B.
